Starting in West Elizabeth today folks..
We’ll start in Blackwater for the challenges today. We can go to the saloon, use the stables then hunt Pheasants before talking with Sean. Let’s get into it…
Complimentary Snacks
Blackwater is the Fast Travel post we will start from today. Head to the saloon in town. There are almonds on the far right hand end of the bar near the stairs. Eat the snacks to complete the challenge.
Horse Tack Updated
Head over to the stables and use the tack and services menu. Enter into the saddles menu. You don’t actually have to make any changes for the challenge to trigger. Just simply go into the menu and the notification should pop up.
Sean Macquire
Check your map for Sean. He is one of the Blood Money Strangers and will either be in Tall Trees or in Great Plains, near Quaker’s Cove. Ride over to him, talk with him and accept a mission. Finish the mission to complete the challenge.
Pheasants
Great Plains is a good spot to hunt for Pheasants. If you check the road between Quaker’s Cove and Manzanita Post, the triangle of roads where the power line / telegraph poles cross the road is a great spot. You will need it to be daytime though. Shoot and skin two.
Red Sage
Head down to Armadillo then take the road south. Keep going until you pass a broken down wagon. Opposite that there are a couple of patches of Red Sage. There is also more round the back of the large rock a little further down the road. More than enough to get the five needed for the challenge.
Finishing off
If you need a campfire to cook provisions there is one up at Fort Mercer. For Maxim Gun Kills, either get them at a Hideout, The Legendary Bounty mission Gene ‘Beau’ Finley or the story mission Kill them all, each and every one. They are all good options. That’ll do it for today…

3 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED WITH A MAXIM GUN – Maxim guns are the big machine guns. Hideouts like the one at Cumberland falls have them. Use the gun to kill the bandits
2 PHEASANTS SKINNED – Pheasants can be found in the Great Planes, The Heartlands and Gaptooth Ridge as well as other places. They are a ground bird that can be hard to spot unless you stumble on them and spook them. Under the ‘W’ in Blackwater is a good spot to check
5 PROVISIONS COOKED AT CAMPFIRE – Find a fire, cook anything from the “provisions” tab on the craft/cook menu. This one is easy gold!
5 RED SAGE PICKED – Red sage can be found in New Austin. North of Fort Mercer is a good spot or try by the side of the main road south out of Armadillo
1 SEAN MACQUIRE MISSIONS COMPLETED – Sean Macquire can be found near Quaker’s Cove in the Great Plains or in Tall Trees. Ride to him, accept and complete the mission he gives you.
