Starting in West Elizabeth today folks..
We’ll start in Blackwater for the challenges today. We can drink some coffee then pick the poppies before heading to find a train to drive and a camp to defend. Let’s get into it…
Coffee
Blackwater is the Fast Travel post we will start from today. There is a camp behind the Post Office and stables in Blackwater where you can get free coffee. Walk into the camp, be friendly to the locals, then pour and drink three cups of coffee.
Prairie Poppies
There is a patch of Prairie Poppies at the base of the ‘T’ in the word Blackwater on the map. There is another just south of the ‘B’ in Elizabeth. There are two more to the north east of the ‘B’ too. That should be plenty enough to get the five needed for the challenge.
Cooked Seasoned Big Game
If you need big game meat there is a cougar you can kill and skin to the north or east of Quaker’s Cove. Check around the ‘INS’ of the word Plains on the map or south of the ‘H’. Kill and skin it then use the campfire in the yard of one of the houses on the southern edge of Blackwater to season and cook the meat.
Defend a Campsite
There are three campsite spawn points in a loop that runs from Blackwater, past Fort Riggs then back across the Upper Montana River towards Tall Trees. Ride that loop a couple of times and if you’re lucky a campsite will spawn in. Defend the Travelers and use Dead Eye to kill the NPCs.
Finishing off
Hunt and pluck some ravens and ride up to Bard’s Crossing or Riggs Station to try and get a train. Drive the distance needed to complete the challenge. That’ll do it for today…

3 COOKED SEASONED BIG GAME – Big game meat can be got from Cougars, Wolves and the easiest one, Alligators. Head to Lemoyne, Kill a gator, collect that meat, head to a fire, season, bbq yummy nutritious gold!
3 CUPS OF COFFEE DRUNK – Coffee can be looted or bought from the store. Head to a fire to brew it and then drink! If you’re anything like me, you need 3 cups in the morning just to get going
1 DEFEND A CAMPSITE – Dynamic events happen all over the map. Look for smoke and listen for gunshots. If you see some travellers (wagons circled) being attacked by bandits, go and save them! South of Tumbleweed and the grasslands west of Blackwater are my go to spots for these.
DISTANCE DRIVEN A TRAIN – Find a train, drive it. If you can get a train this is an easy one. The Trolly in Saint Denis won’t work for this one as you can’t drive it. Macfarlane’s Ranch is a good spot to find a train.
5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED WHILE IN DEAD EYE – Enemy NPCs can be found in story missions, dynamic events, and resupply missions. Thieves Landing NPCs also count as Non-player enemies. Activate dead eye and kill 5 of them.
5 PRAIRIE POPPIES PICKED – Prairie Poppies can be found in The Great Plains. Between the House and Flat Iron Lake as you head south out of Blackwater is my go to spot.
3 WESTERN RAVENS PLUCKED – Ravens are literally everywhere. Shoot 3, pluck them and you have your gold.
