Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’ll start in Tumbleweed for the challenges today. We can use the stables then pick the sage before hunting Moose and pigs. Let’s get into it…
Horse Appearance Updated
Start in Tumbleweed. Use the stables to update your horse’s appearance. There are free changes you can make to the tail and mane. Just swap them to wild or change the colour. Do it on one of the horses you don’t use much.
Desert Sage
Drop down the hill to the desert to the south of Tumbleweed. There are a couple of patches of Desert Sage just next to the letter ‘E’ in the word New on the map. This might get you all five plants but you will probably need to follow the road to the west, towards Gaptooth Bridge to find some more. There are two or three more patches on the corner near the junction.
Moose
Head back to Tumbleweed and fast travel to Manzanita Post. There are Moose in Tall Trees. Check in the middle of the woods between the Post and the river. You can also find them near Aurora Basin.
Pigs
Ride over to Flatneck Station. There is a pen next to the station that has pigs in it. Kill and skin three of them to complete the challenge.
Finishing off
Complete one of the Telegram missions then posse up and complete the races. Grab your bow and head into a Showdown to get the kills with a bow. That’ll do it for today…

5 DESERT SAGE PICKED – Desert Sage grows in New Austin. If you head South out of Tumbleweed, there is a spot at the crossroads where you can get all 5. It’s just to the left of the ‘E’ in New Austin on the map.
1 HORSE APPEARANCE UPDATED – Head to a stables and change the appearance of your horse by changing the tail or main for example
1 MOOSE SKINNED – Brandywine Drop, Tall Trees, Owanjila and Aurra Basin are all good spots to look for Moose. Find one. Shoot it and skin it.
3 PIGS SKINNED – Pigs can be found at ranches and farms across the map. Flat Neck station, Valentine and Emerald Ranch are all good spots to check. Wait until nightfall to reduce chances of attracting the law.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A BOW IN SHOWDOWNS – Make sure your Bow is equipped then load into a Showdown series from the quickjoin menu or the main menu. Dynamite arrows count. You must be in lobby before the match starts for the kills to count. Takeover and Shootouts are most reliable
3 POSSE RACES COMPLETED – This is started from the Posse Vs menu. Join or start a posse of more than one player and have the leader startup the races. Complete three of them to tick this one off.
1 TELEGRAM MISSIONS COMPLETED – Telegram missions can be started from your satchel. Go into the documents menu and open the Telegrams. You can then select which mission to do.
