Starting in West Elizabeth today folks..
We’ll start at Manzanita Post for the challenges today. We can pick the American Ginseng, hunt cougars then go fishing. Let’s get into it…
American Ginseng
Start at Manzanita Post.Look at the words Tall Trees on the map. There are American Ginseng plants that grow along the words. Check at both the ‘L’s’ in Tall. There are a couple of plants between the two words and then another between the ‘R’ and ‘E’ and another on the last ‘E’. Ginseng only grows individually and it likes the shade of trees or rocks.
Cougars
There are cougars that spawn in the northern part of Tall Trees, near the first ‘T’. One spawns in the middle of the rocky cliffs. There is another that sometimes spawns near Bear Claw. There is a spawn point near the windmill to the south of Blackwater but I think that one has been nerfed as I never seem to find one there anymore. The last place to check if you are struggling is the road junction just above the ‘R’ in the word Great Plains on the map.
Ram’s Head
There are some Ram’s Head that grow on Diablo Ridge. There is a patch of them directly on top of the ‘B’, another just below the gap between the two words and then a third patch a way above the ‘R’ towards the ridge. That should get you all five plants from the three spots.
Finishing off
The nearest Fence is in Thieves Landing. Ride down and sell him some items. Catch a fish bigger than 5lbs. I’d suggest targeting the lake sturgeon in Flat Iron Lake. Posse up and complete the herb picking contest then load into Rich Pickings Telegraph mission and get the stealth kills. That’ll do it for today…

5 AMERICAN GINSENG PICKED – American Ginseng grows in the central parts of the map. It grows as a sole plant usually at the base of trees or rocks. South of Valentine and Scarlet Meadows are great places to find these plants.
2 COUGARS KILLED – Check above the ‘O’ in Cholla Springs, above the ‘T’ in Tall Trees or near the windmill on the Southern edge of Blackwater for Cougars.
1 FISH CAUGHT WEIGHING AT LEAST 5 lbs – Target larger fish such as Pike or Muskies. Medium fish like Steelhead Trout or Largemouth Bass are typically 4 lbs – 6 lbs so you try your luck with them.
1 HERB PICKING CONTEST COMPLETED – Herb picking contests are accessed in the Posse Versus menu. Form or join a posse and have the leader start the contest.
ITEMS SOLD TO A FENCE – Jewellery can be looted from NPCs and and several buildings in free roam. Find 3 items and sell them to a fence.
5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED WHILE NOT SEEN – Kill NPCs stealthily. Your Bow & throwing knives are your friend here. Thieves Landing is a good location in free roam. Also the legendary bounty hunter missions or the story mission ‘Where your morals lead you’ is good for stealth kills
5 RAM’s HEAD PICKED – Ram’s head can be found in Cumberland forest. Check along the cliffs to the west of the forest.
