Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’ll start in Tumbleweed for the challenges today. We can pick Desert Sage then get some feathers to sell before hunting Loons. Let’s get into it…
Desert Sage
Start in Tumbleweed. Ride south out of town. As you get down the hill there are a couple of patches of desert sage at the bottom of the hill. They are next to the ‘E’ of the word New on the map.. If you follow the path to the west there is another patch on your left as you start to turn the bend should you need it.
Feathers Sold
Shoot and pluck a few birds. There are plenty of Ravens and Condors around the desert south of Tumbleweed. Get some feathers and head back to the butcher in town to sell them.
Loons
You can try Stillwater Creek or Aurora Basin for loons but personally I would fast travel to Blackwater then ride up to Bard’s Crossing. There are plenty of loons between the mouth of the river and Limpany. Find them, shoot them and pluck them to get the gold.
Finishing off
Partner up with someone and complete the revives. A cattleman to the foot or a kick from a horse is usually enough to down you. Get the long range kills from a Roadblock or whatever mission is your preferred type then grab a Repeater and try to get into the top three in a Showdown. That will do it for today…

5 DESERT SAGE PICKED – Desert Sage grows in New Austin. If you head South out of Tumbleweed, there is a spot at the crossroads where you can get all 5. It’s just to the left of the ‘E’ in New Austin on the map.
FEATHERS SOLD – Sell Feathers at the butchers. Look for any birds, kill em, pluck em and head to the butchers for that Easy Gold!
1 LOONS SKINNED – Loons can be found along the rivers of West Elizabeth, New Hanover and Bayou NWA in Lemoyne. The islands on the west of Flat Iron Lake are a good place to look too.
5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED AT LONG RANGE – Revenue Agents, Trader Resupply NPCs and Del Lobos are good for this. Pick a spot at range and pick them off. A scoped rifle will help. You can tell if they count as distance kills as an XP award notification pops up.
PLACE TOP 3 IN A SHOOTOUT SHOWDOWN – Shootouts are a group of PvP game modes and can be accessed through the main or quick join menus. Load into the series and try and place in the top 3
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A REPEATER IN SHOWDOWNS – Join a showdown through either the main or quick join menus. Equip your repeater and get kills with it. Takedown and Shootout series work best and you need to be in the lobby before the match starts for the kills to count
3 PLAYERS REVIVED – The easiest way to complete this challenge is to get a friend to let you shoot them in the foot with a revolver, this will down them. You can then revive them and repeat the process. Make sure you return the favour!
