Starting in New Hanover today folks..
We’ll start at Emerald Station for the challenges today. We’ll pick the Milkweed then do some hunting before finding Hamish. Let’s get into it…
Milkweed
Start at Emerald Station. Head out to Heartland Overflow. There you will find Milkweed all around the edges of the water. There is loads of the stuff so finding five plants is easy.
Horse Item Crafted
Head over to the campfire at Carmody Dell. This is the farm just north of the Oil Fields. Use the campfire to craft a horse care item.
Hunting
This is a good base to do our hunting from. Badgers and Skunks can be found in the area north of the oil fields and into Cumberland Forest, pretty much all the way up to Bacchus Station. Dusk is the best time for badgers. Make sure to skin them to get the claw to sell later. Shoot and skin a couple of skunks too.
Rams can be found in Grizzlies East. The area to the north of Moonstone Pond is a good place to hunt for them. You can find them as far up as the railway line and across as far as O’Creagh’s Run. Find, shoot and skin a couple of them.
Hamish Sinclair
Open your map and look for Hamish. He will either be near O’Creagh’s Run or over at Cotorra Springs. Ride over to him, speak with him, accept and complete a mission.
Finishing off
Head to the nearest butcher or Gus and sell the claw you collected earlier. Grab your revolvers and wait for a Free Roam Event to get the kills. That will do it for today…

1 ANIMAL CLAWS SOLD – Bears and Badgers will all give Claws. Take the claw to a butchers and sell it. I’ve heard Talons also count!
1 CRAFTED A HORSE CARE ITEM – Potent Horse Stimulant and Potent Horse Medicine can be crafted at a campfire, along with any other recipes you have unlocked. Bulrush and either Sage or Ginseng are needed for these so collect them before heading to a fire.
1 HAMISH SINCLAIR MISSIONS COMPLETED – This stranger mission can be triggered by visiting Hamish Sinclair. Try the shack next to O’creaghs’ Run or the camp at Cotorra Springs. Completing the mission completes the challenge.
5 MILKWEED PICKED – Milkweed is common near water in Lemoyne. The river banks of Bayou NWA are good spots to check. Southfield Flats just north of Rhodes also has two spots where you can get all that you need.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A REVOLVER IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free roam events happen every 45mins. Make sure you are in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Join the event and kill 3 players with your revolver. Remember, pistols and revolvers are different!
2 RAMS SKINNED – There are 3 types of Rams, Desert, Rocky Mountain and Sierra Nevada. They can be found in Gaptooth Ridge, NA, Grizzlies East & West, AM, and Big Valley, WE respectively.
2 STRIPED SKUNKS SKINNED – Skunks are common at night. Tall Trees, Bolger Glade and Cumberland Forest are all good spots to check. Find em, kill em and skin em for that gold!
