Starting in New Hanover today folks..
We’re starting in Valentine for today’s Daily Challenges. We’re here for the Yarrow and Rams Head that are nearby. Then we can go Hunt and Eat. Let’s Get into it…
Yarrow
Start off in Valentine. There are patches of Yarrow between the town and Citadel Rock. Cross the railway and just to the left of the ‘C’ of Citadel Rock you will find a patch of Yarrow. Cross the path and follow the railway back towards town and you’ll spot another patch. If you still need more then continue along the eastern side of the railway line and there is another patch just as you get past the station.
Rams Head
Head up to Cumberland Forest. There are two patches of Rams head under the ‘C’ of Cumberland on the map and there is another patch in the middle of the ‘M’. Plenty of plants to pick all five for the challenge.
Hunting and Eating
Whilst up in the Forest, hunt and skin what you can find. Anything with a ‘Pluck’ command won’t count, but turkeys have ‘Skin’ so they do count. There are plenty of rabbits, deer and turkeys up here so it shouldn’t take long to get all twenty.
When you have what you need, head back into town. Use the campfire near the butcher to cook and eat five meats and then craft a horse care item.
Finishing off
Fast travel to Armadillo and then look on your map for James. Ride over to him at Lake Don Julio and pick a mission to complete. Then all that’s left is to hop into a Showdown and get the kills from cover. That will do it for today…

Quick Guides
20 ANIMALS SKINNED -This is much easier since the fix. Simply kill and skin 20 animals. Birds with the ‘pluck’ prompt don’t count.
1 CRAFTED A HORSE CARE ITEM – Potent Horse Stimulant and Potent Horse Medicine can be crafted at a campfire, along with any other recipes you have unlocked. Bulrush and either Sage or Ginseng are needed for these so collect them before heading to a fire.
1 JAMES LANGTON MISSIONS COMPLETED – This stranger mission can be started by going to the cabin on Lake Don Julio in Rio Bravo, New Austin. Start the mission and take out the targets to complete the challenge.
5 MEATS EATEN – Meat from any animal or bird counts for this. If you already have some on you, then eat it. If not, head over to a camp fire and cook up some meat!
3 PLAYER KILLS FROM COVER IN SHOWDOWNS – Kill a player from behind cover in a showdown mode. Takeover and Shootout series are the most reliable for getting this one. Make sure you are in the lobby before the game starts for the kills to count
5 RAM’s HEAD PICKED – Ram’s head can be found in Cumberland forest. Check along the cliffs to the west of the forest.
5 YARROW PICKED – My go to spot is just south of Valentine around Caliban’s seat. There are several groups around here.
