Starting in New Hanover today folks..
We’re starting at Emerald Ranch for today’s Daily Challenges. We get the mutton and the thrown weapon kills here then complete the rest anywhere. Let’s Get into it…
Explosive Mutton
Start off at Emerald Station then ride down to the ranch. Get the mutton you need from the sheep in the pens then chuck a few sticks of dynamite around to get the 5 animals killed. If you have one well placed stick of dynamite you could get all five in one go. Get out of town and avoid the law and ride to the nearest campfire. There is one at Carmody Dell near the Oil fields. Use the fire to season and cook the Mutton
NPCs Killed at Range
Revenue Agents at road blocks are my favourite way to complete this challenge. Grab your sniper rifle and pick them off. You can do it in any mission though.
Finishing off
Eat your candies, feed your horse then finish a race. Grab your shotgun and load into a Showdown and get three kills with the shotgun. That will do it for today…

5 ANIMALS KILLED WITH A THROWING WEAPON – Throwing weapons can be found by cycling through the lasso slot on your weapon wheel. Use the weapons, such as throwing knives to kill 5 animals
5 CANDIES EATEN – Candies can be bought from the store or the catalogue for $3. Check your lock box first though, they are often given as rewards. They can also be looted from several places on the map. Eat five of them to complete the challenge.
3 COOKED SEASONED MUTTON – You get mutton from sheep and rams. White hat you can hunt for Desert Rams in NA or there are Rams on the mountain slopes of Ambarino. Or black hat and go to Emerald Ranch at night. Head to a fire and season up that mutton and cook it.
1 FINISH RACE IN RACE SERIES – Load in to a race from the Main or Quickjoin menu. Play a race from lobby to lobby to get this one to count.
5 HORSES FED – Most herbs collected can be fed to your horse or you can buy apples, carrots etc from the store. Get some food and feed a horse. You can just feed your own horse 5 times.
5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED AT LONG RANGE – Revenue Agents, Trader Resupply NPCs and Del Lobos are good for this. Pick a spot at range and pick them off. A scoped rifle will help. You can tell if they count as distance kills as an XP award notification pops up.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A SHOTGUN IN SHOWDOWN – Equip your shotgun then join a Showdown. Weapon of choice is good if you don’t own a shotgun yet. Takeover or Shootout series are most reliable for registering kills. You will need to be in the lobby beforehand for the kills to count
