Starting in New Hanover today folks..
We’re starting in Valentine for today’s Daily Challenges. We can use the stables then go fishing. Let’s Get into it…
Horse Appearance Updated and Tonic
Start off in Valentine. Head to the stables and use the horse appearance menu to update the appearance of one of your horses. You can usually change the tail or mane for free. I just changed one of my old horses that I don’t use. Leave the stable and use the campfire next to the stables to craft a tonic.
Help Someone in need
Whilst riding around, keep an eye on the map for these random spawns. There are a couple of animal attacks near Caliban’s Seat and three or four rescues as you head out of Valentine towards Cumberland Falls and then down near Diablo Ridge. There is another animal attack at Diablo Ridge..
Sockeye Salmon Caught
Ride to Cumberland Falls keeping an eye out for those Random Encounters. Once at the falls drop down to the pool below the waterfall. The pool here is full of salmon. Use a river lure or spinner and eagle eye to target them..
Hummingbird Sage
Climb up from the falls until you reach the railway line. Follow it south towards Diablo Ridge. There are several patches of Hummingbird Sage Check between the ‘L’ and the ‘O’, on the ‘D’ and just below the ‘R’ of the words Diablo Ridge on the map.
Finishing off
Load up your rifle with explosive rounds and head into a Free Roam Event. Get the kills with explosives and Rifle kills in one go. That will do it for today…

CRAFTED A TONIC – Tonics can be crafted at camp fires. Potent health care needs 1x Ginseng and 1xYarrow. Potent Snake oil only needs 1x Indian Tobacco. Collect what you need, head to a fire and craft the tonic
1 HELPED SOMEONE IN NEED – These are the dynamic events that happen in free roam such as Rescues, Kiddnappings and escorts. Saint Denis and the surrounding area are good spots to try and find one. This is a tough one though. Total RNG.
1 HORSE APPEARANCE UPDATED – Head to a stables and change the appearance of your horse by changing the tail or main for example
5 HUMMINGBIRD SAGE PICKED – Northern Scarlett Meadows is a good spot. Or try just south of Manzanita Post for another great spot.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A RIFLE IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free Roam events happen every 45mins. Make sure you’re in a free roam lobby to be invited. Also make sure you have your rifle equipped before you join and then use it to kill 3 players.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH EXPLOSIVES IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free Roam Events happen every 45 mins. Make sure you are in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Once in the event, kill players with dynamite. Dynamite arrows count too if you have them.
3 SOCKEYE SALMON CAUGHT – Northern, fast flowing rivers are the best place to get Salmon. Lures or special spinner work best, food bait is not so good. The pool below Cumberland Falls is an excellent spot.
