Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’re starting at MacFarlane’s Ranch for today’s challenges! We can get most of the challenges done between here and Blackwater. Let’s Get into it…
MacFarlane’s Ranch
Start off at MacFarlane’s Ranch to get the visit done. Head to the Lower Montana River where the river meets Still Water Creek. Fish on the main river for trout. These can be broken down for succulent fish meat that we can cook later.
Fish over 5lbs and Cooking
Chances are one of the trout you catch will be over 5lbs (2.2Kg). If it isn’t then head towards Blackwater. Take the path along closest to the lake shore and as you approach Blackwater there is a house with a white fence. Turn left at the white fence and go down to the lake. In that bay there are lake sturgeon. Use your special spinner or Special lake lure and a slow retrieve and you will catch one that’s guaranteed to be over 5lbs! Head back up to the house to use the fire in the yard. Break down the trout caught earlier and then use the fire to season and cook it.
Visit a Shop In Blackwater
Continue on into Blackwater and visit one of the shops. If you caught the sturgeon then selling that at the butcher is a good way to get the visit done.
Finishing off
All that’s left to do now is Posse Up and complete the bird shooting contest before getting the player kills in a Showdown. That will do it for today…

1 BIRD SHOOTING CONTEST COMPLETED – Bird shooting contests can be triggered by a posse leader in the Posse Vs Menu. Join a Posse and have the leader start the contest.
COOKED SEASONED SUCCULENT FISH – Succulent fish meat is got from breaking down trout or salmon. Try the channel between the island and the shore South of Scratching post, New Austin for Trout. The pool below Cumberland Falls is a good spot for Salmon. Catch em, break em down, season em up and cook em!
1 FISH CAUGHT WEIGHING AT LEAST 5 lbs – Target larger fish such as Pike or Muskies. Medium fish like Steelhead Trout or Largemouth Bass are typically 4 lbs – 6 lbs so you try your luck with them.
10 PLAYER KILLS IN SHOWDOWNS – Join a showdown series and kill 10 players during matches. Kills with any weapon will count as long as you were in the lobby before the match started. Takedown and Shootout series tend to register the kills most reliably
1 POSSE JOINED – Check the posse menu in the player menu and look for an open posse. Join it. If you can’t find an open one, use the Posse Up option from the main menu. This will put you into a posse but that doesn’t count for the daily. Simply leave and rejoin to complete the challenge
VISITED A SHOP IN BLACKWATER – Simply head over to Blackwater in West Elizabeth and go to one of the shops or the butchers. Easy Gold!
VISITED MACFARLANE’S RANCH – Head down to MacFarlane’s Ranch in Henning’s Steed, New Austin to complete this challenge. Easy Gold!
