Starting in New Austin today folks..
We’re starting in Tumbleweed for today’s challenges. We have a bit of travelling to do today. Let’s Get into it…
Tumbleweed to Fort Mercer
Start in Tumbleweed. Head out of town towards Cholla Springs. There is a dog spawn point just after the covered bridge so keep an eye out for that. Head to Cholla Springs and look for a Cougar.
There is another dog spawn point just to the south of Armadillo so swing by there on your way to Fort Mercer if you still need to follow a Dog. Visit the Fort and complete that challenge. There is a campfire at the back of the fort you can use to cook the Horse Tonic. If you still need a dog there is another spot near Plainview.
Longnose Gar
Fast Travel to Lagras and then head south to the boot shaped pond. Use your Swamp lure and deadeye to target them.
Cooked Seasoned Succulent Fish Meat
Fast Travel to Van Horn. Head west to the Kamassa river. There is another dog spawn point just near the railway so keep an eye out for that if you still need one. Head to the Kamasssa and fish for salmon. Break them down and head back to Van Horn. Use the campfire behind the saloon to cook the meat.
Cougar
Head North to Roanoke Valley. The roads that lead North West out of Annesburg have a Cougar that hunts around there. Find it and shoot it.
Finishing off
Grab your rifle and head into a showdown to get three kills with it. That will do it for today…

COOKED SEASONED SUCCULENT FISH – Succulent fish meat is got from breaking down trout or salmon. Try the channel between the island and the shore South of Scratching post, New Austin for Trout. The pool below Cumberland Falls is a good spot for Salmon. Catch em, break em down, season em up and cook em!
2 COUGARS KILLED – Check above the ‘O’ in Cholla Springs, above the ‘T’ in Tall Trees or near the windmill on the Southern edge of Blackwater for Cougars.
1 CRAFTED A HORSE CARE ITEM – Potent Horse Stimulant and Potent Horse Medicine can be crafted at a campfire, along with any other recipes you have unlocked. Bulrush and either Sage or Ginseng are needed for these so collect them before heading to a fire.
1 FOLLOW DOG TO SOMETHING INTERESTING – There are dogs that bark at you and appear as a white dot on the map. You Follow one to a lockbox/body/ambush. Use https://jeanropke.github.io/RDOMap/ and filter to find the spawn points
1 LONGNOSE GAR CAUGHT – Head to Lemoyne, The pond between ‘Kamassa River’ and ‘Bayou’ on the map has them in. The Swamp Lure is best and they are supposedly more active in overcast conditions.
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A RIFLE IN SHOWDOWNS- Make sure you have your rifle equipped before you join a Showdown match and then use it to kill 3 players. You will have to be in the lobby before the match starts for the kills to count
1 VISIT FORT MERCER – Fort Mercer is in Rio Bravo, NA. It’s a short ride from Armadillo. Simply visit the location to complete the challenge.
