Starting in Lemoyne today folks..
We’ll be starting in Saint Denis for today’s challenges. Visit the Doctor to sell herbs, the shop for some canned food, then head out on a Pelican hunt. Let’s get into it…
Saint Denis
Start off in Saint Denis. Wave to one of the locals then visit the store to buy some canned food if you need some and eat five. You can look for free cans if you like but I think these days it’s easy enough to earn money so my enjoyment is worth more than the cost of the cans. When you have a full belly, head to the Doctor and sell him some herbs.
Pelican Locations
Head north out of Saint Denis. Follow the railway along the shore line. When you reach where the track forks over the water, check the shore to your right for a Pelican. Head over the bridge and check on your right again. If those two spots are a bust, then ride to the edge of Copperhead Landing, where the ruined shack is. There is usually a Pelican on the upturned boat or on the shoreline just behind the shack. Keep checking these spots, and also don’t forget to look up. Sometimes you get lucky and a flock of pelicans will be flying overhead. Keep at it until you have managed to shoot and pluck two of them.
Sean Macquire
Check your map for Sean. He is one of the strangers and will be near Quakers cove or in Tall Trees. Find where he is then travel to Blackwater or Manzanita Post and ride over to him. Talk with him and accept and complete the mission he gives you.
Finishing off
That just leaves the Showdowns. Equip your Bow and some throwing weapons and head into a showdown. Keep at it until you have the bow headshots and the throwing weapon kills. That will do it for today …

5 CANNED FOOD EATEN – Canned food such as canned peaches or canned beans can be bought from the store or looted from various locations all over the map. Get 5 of them and eat them. Easy gold!
5 HERBS SOLD – Herbs can be sold to a Doctor like the one in Valentine or Saint Denis. Collect any 5 herbs and head to the Doctors to sell them.
2 PELICANS PLUCKED – Pelicans can be found on the East and West banks of Flat Iron Lake and around the coast of Saint Denis. You may have some look in Bayou NWA as well. My go to spot is the burnt out shack on the coast near where the train line forks North of Saint Denis
3 PLAYER KILLS WITH THROWING WEAPONS IN SHOWDOWNS – Shootout or Takeover Series seem to work best. You have to be in a Lobby before the game starts for kills to count towards the challenge. remember, Dynamite counts as a throwing weapon.
PLAYERS HEADSHOT WITH A BOW IN SHOWDOWNS – Load into a showdown lobby, equip your Bow and get a headshot. Shootout and Takeover series seem to work best for these. It may take a couple of games to get this to register.
1 SEAN MACQUIRE MISSIONS COMPLETED – Sean Macquire can be found near Quaker’s Cove in the Great Plains or in Tall Trees. Ride to him, accept and complete the mission he gives you.
1 USED AN EMOTE ON A LOCAL – Find an NPC character and use an emote on them. Try not to accidentally shoot them in the process. Shopkeepers and bartenders don’t count, but Cripps does!
