Starting in New Austin today folks..

We’ll be starting in Tumbleweed for today’s challenges. To be honest, you can start anywhere today. Your Camp is a good starting point if you have a dog. For the purposes of this guide I have to start somewhere! Let’s get into it…

Petted a Dog

There is a dog in Tumbleweed. You can sometimes find it begging for scraps at the butcher but usually it’s outside the stables. Walk up to it and pet it. You can also pet your camp dog if you have one. .

Flying Birds Killed with a Sniper Rifle

New Austin is a good place for this one because Condors are big and slow. Use your sniper rifle to shoot one. Just a note, the game only classes rifles with a fixed scope as a sniper rifle so your Bolt Action with a scope isn’t going to count I’m afraid.

Animals Trampled and Cooked Game

The easiest way to trample animals is to find shallow water full of fish. The channel of water between the river bank and the island to the South of Tumbleweed, near Scratching Post is a good spot for this. When you arrive, hop off your horse and get your fishing rod out. The game will spawn more fish in the water. Then jump back on your horse and trample them.

Keep an eye out for rabbits as you ride North West towards Benedict Point. Before you reach the station there is a barn called Solomon’s Folly. There is a campfire there you can use to cook season and cook the game meat.

Finishing off

That leaves the PvP. Easy enough today if you can find a match. The race may be tricky. Just get your fastest horse and juice it up with tonics. The other two are simple enough though. That will do it for today…

5 ANIMALS TRAMPLED – Kill 5 animals by running over them with your horse. Shallow fish filled water is good for this, or mercy kill wounded animals by running them down. Also try Turkeys.

3 COOKED SEASONED GAME – Game is easiest found from Rabbits. They are everywhere, find, kill and skin a couple then head over to a campfire, season up that game and cook it.

FLYING BIRDS KILLED WITH A SNIPER RIFLE – Shoot a bird in flight with a sniper rifle. Scoped regular rifles such as the bolt action rifle with a scope do not count! I use the rolling block rifle personally.

PETTED A DOG – My favorite challenge ever! Find a dog, pet it. Don’t listen to Cripps. There’s a dog in Tumbleweed near the Stables. There are a couple in Thieves Landing. You can also pet your camp dog if you have one.

PLACE TOP 3 IN A RACE – Load into a Race Series from the main or quickjoin menu. Try and finish in the top 3. You’ll have to be in the lobby at the beginning of the race for this to count.

3 PLAYER KILLS IN DEAD EYE IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free roam events are every 45mins. Make sure your in free roam when one is due, accept the invite and kill players whilst in dead eye

10 PLAYER KILLS IN SHOWDOWNS – Join a showdown series and kill 10 players during matches. Kills with any weapon will count as long as you were in the lobby before the match started. Takedown and Shootout series tend to register the kills most reliably
