Starting in New Austin today folks..

We’ll be starting in Armadillo for today’s challenges. We’re starting here for the Red Sage before heading elsewhere for some hunting. Let’s get into it…

Red Sage

From the fast travel post, ride south out of town. Keep going along that road until you pass a burnt out wagon. There is a large rock on your right a little past the wagon. Behind that rock are two patches of Red Sage, which should be enough to get five plants from. If its not, check across the way from the wagon for another patch.

Hunting and Bullrushes

Head to Rhodes. Go hunt and skin four deer and also hunt some birds for feathers to sell. Stop off at Southfield Flats to pick some Bullrushes. Head back into town and sell the feathers at the butcher.

NPC kills form the Hip

The easiest way to do this is with a group of enemies and paint it black. Equip the card, mark five or more targets then hit fire. You will drop the gun to your hip and shoot from there. Another good method is a shotgun and fighting the urge to aim down the sites.

Finishing off

All that’s left to do now is clean your weapons and head into a Takeover Showdown. Play the match all the way through and that will do it for today…

FINISH SHOWDOWN IN TAKEOVER SERIES – Load up a Showdown from the Takeover list of matches and complete a full match. You’ll need to go lobby to lobby to get this one to register.

5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES KILLED FROM THE HIP – Kill enemy NPCs by shooting them from the hip instead of aiming down the sights using the left trigger. Hardest part of this challenge is overcoming your muscle memory!

5 RED SAGE PICKED – Red sage can be found in New Austin. North of Fort Mercer is a good spot or try by the side of the main road south out of Armadillo

3 WEAPONS CLEANED WITH GUN OIL – Gun oil can be purchased in shops or looted from various places and NPCs. Highlight a dirty weapon in the weapon wheel and click the right thumbstick in. Select clean weapon.
