Starting in New Hanover today folks..

We’ll be starting in Valentine for today’s challenges. We visit the stables there, then head into Lemoyne to catch a Longnose Gar before getting some apples from the Braithwaites. Let’s get into it…

Valentine

Ride into town and visit the stables. This will count as a shop visit. Select one of your horses and change its appearance. You can swap the tail to a wild one for free. Two quick and easy ones to start off.

Fresh Produce Eaten

Travel to the Braithwait Manor. The nearest fast travel post is Rhodes and that will cost you $2 from Valentine. Ride down to the building next to the ‘B’ on the map. There are free apples here on the ground. Pick them up, go into your satchel and eat five of them..

Longnose Gar

There is a good Gar fishing spot to the west of the manor. Where the Kamassa River joins the Lannahechee River. Swamp Lures are the best for attracting them. Another good spot is the boot shaped pond in Bayou Nwa

Ravens and Lassoed Enemies

Western Ravens are common everywhere. Just shoot and pluck them as you find them. For the enemies lassoed from horseback, look out for lone riders. Lasso them off their horse. This won’t count towards the challenge but what it does do is antagonise them. Release them, then they will turn red on your mini map. Losso them again and that one will count towards the challenge.

Finishing off

Head into an Elimination Showdown and play a match until the end. If you join a match part way through it probably won’t count. You usually have to go from the pre-match lobby to the end of the match. That will do it for today…

Quick Guides

FINISH SHOWDOWN IN ELIMINATION SERIES – Enter an Elimination match from the start or quick join menus. You will have to be in the lobby before the match starts and play all the way through for this one to count.

5 FRESH PRODUCE EATEN – Head to a store and buy 5 Apples (40 cents each). You can get free apples outside the large building left of the ‘B’ in Braithwaite Manor They are stored in your satchel and you have to open it up to eat them.

1 HORSE APPEARANCE UPDATED – Head to a stables and change the appearance of your horse by changing the tail or main for example

1 LONGNOSE GAR CAUGHT – Head to Lemoyne, The pond between ‘Kamassa River’ and ‘Bayou’ on the map has them in. The Swamp Lure is best and they are supposedly more active in overcast conditions.

5 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES LASSOED FROM HORSEBACK – Lasso NPCs whilst sat on your horse. I find this easiest to do during resupply missions or camp defences. Gold Health Core’s help as you get shot a lot. The Lawmen in Saint Denis count too.

VISITED A SHOP IN VALENTINE – Simply head over to Valentine and go to one of the shops or butchers. Easy Gold!

3 WESTERN RAVENS PLUCKED – Ravens are literally everywhere. Shoot 3, pluck them and you have your gold.
