Starting in New Austin today folks..

Desert sage, mutton, rats, Muskrats and Macfarlane’s ranch are all needed for today’s Daily Challenges. We can get all of them in New Austin. Let’s get into it…

Tumbleweed to Macfarlane’s Ranch

Start in Tumbleweed. Ride south out of the town and there are three patches of desert sage at the bottom of the hill. Follow the pack to the west and you will get enough plants to complete the challenge.

Next, head to the island near Scratching Post. There are muskrats along the river bank there. There are desert sheep in the area south of Tumbleweed too, so if you need some mutton hunt them. There is a campfire at the barn to the south of Benedict point you can use to cook it. Head to Armadillo for Rats. I had to wait for nightfall to find any. Then fast travel to Macfarlane’s ranch for the visit. If you struggled to find rats in Armadillo, then try the docks at Thieves Landing.

Finishing Off

Equip your repeater and head into a Takeover Showdown. Get the kills and finish the match and that will do it for today…

2 AMERICAN MUSKRATS SKINNED – Muskrats can be found along the shores of lakes and rivers in New Austin, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Hanover

3 COOKED SEASONED MUTTON – You get mutton from sheep and rams. White hat you can hunt for Desert Rams in NA or there are Rams on the mountain slopes of Ambarino. Or black hat and go to Emerald Ranch at night. Head to a fire and season up that mutton and cook it.

5 DESERT SAGE PICKED – Desert Sage grows in New Austin. If you head South out of Tumbleweed, there is a spot at the crossroads where you can get all 5. It’s just to the left of the ‘E’ in New Austin on the map.

FINISH SHOWDOWN IN TAKEOVER SERIES – Load up a Showdown from the Takeover list of matches and complete a full match. You’ll need to go lobby to lobby to get this one to register.

3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A REPEATER IN SHOWDOWNS – Join a showdown through either the main or quick join menus. Equip your repeater and get kills with it. Takedown and Shootout series work best and you need to be in the lobby before the match starts for the kills to count

3 RATS COLLECTED – The cave behind the waterfall at Elysian Pool is my go to place for rats. It’s up near Annesburg.

VISITED MACFARLANE’S RANCH – Head down to MacFarlane’s Ranch in Henning’s Steed, New Austin to complete this challenge. Easy Gold!
