Starting in New Hanover today folks..

We will mainly be in the Heartlands for today’s challenges. We’ll start in Valentine and head across to Van Horn before finishing up with the free roam event. Let’s get into it…

Valentine

Start off in Valentine. Use the barber to change your facial appearance. I change my stubble as that’s the cheapest. I wouldn’t recommend swapping out anything that you paid gold for! Head to the Train Station and speak to the Clerk inside. He will give you a mission to do. Finish the mission he gives you to complete the challenge.

Carmody Dell and Guthrie Farm

Next, ride east towards the Heartland Oi fields.There is a farmstead just north east of the oil fields called Carmody Dell. There is sometimes an Ox in the paddock. There are also four patches of Parasol Mushrooms near here too. One is just to the east of the chicken shed, between the shed and the path. There is another just to the south of the shed over the path that leads up to the house. Skin the Ox and pick the mushrooms before moving on to Guthrie Farm.

Guthrie Farm is in between Emerald Ranch and the Oil Fields. There is a dog on this farm you can pet, and there is also an Ox that spawns near the house. Pet the dog and skin your second Ox. If the Ox isn’t there, head to Emerald ranch and check for an Ox in the paddock in front of the barn. Go back and forth until one spawn in, or switch sessions to get them.

Finishing Off

Use the fast travel post at Emerald Ranch to fast travel to Van Horn to get the visit then join a free roam event to get the melee kills. That will do it for today…

‪2 OXEN SKINNED – You can find one Oxen at Guthrie farm, the little hamlet just below Heartland Overflow. Switch sessions to get both, or try the hamlet above Heartland Oil Fields‬

PARASOL MUSHROOM PICKED – Parasol Mushrooms can be found all over. My go to spot is between Valentine and Caliban’s seat. New Austin is a good state for them too if you’re down that way, just keep an eye out. The pig pen at Flatneck Station also has them.

PETTED A DOG – My favorite challenge ever! Find a dog, pet it. Don’t listen to Cripps. There’s a dog in Tumbleweed near the Stables. There are a couple in Thieves Landing. You can also pet your camp dog if you have one.

3 PLAYER KILLS WITH MELEE IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free Roam events are every 45mins and you need to be in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Join a PvP based event and get up close and personal to get kills with melee.

1 TRAIN CLERK MISSIONS COMPLETED – The Train Clerk is one of the strangers who issue free roam missions. He can be found at major railway stations. Simply visit him, accept and complete the mission he gives you.

VISITED VAN HORN – Simply head up to Van Horn in New Hanover. It’s at the southern end of Roanoke Ridge between Saint Denis and Annesburg.
