Starting anywhere, really today folks..

There really aren’t any location specific challenges today. You can start anywhere you like really. The only thing is that Chain Pickerel are more common in the North. I started in Valentine but it’s not a necessity. Let’s get into it…

Easy Challenges

Photographing your horse and cooking the game meat are two easy challenges to knock off the list today. These can be done without leaving camp if you already have the game meat. Ducks and rabbits will give you game meat when skinned so if you don’t have any, go hunting. Cook the meat on your nearest campfire, if you started in Valentine too that’ll be the one near the butcher.

Fishing

Chain Pickerel are common in almost all waters. You will catch them more frequently in more northern lakes and rivers. I dropped down from Valentine onto the Dakota River and fished for them there. They are easy to spot due to their shape. They are one of the smaller fish and have a long, slim shape compared to the other fish of their size. Corn is the best bait for them.

Hideouts

There are three hideouts in and around Cumberland Forest. One in the forest itself, another at Firwood Rise and another at Bacchus Station. It’s just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Ride between the spots and hope a hideout spawns in. Use cover to kill the bandits and tick both of those challenges off at once.

Finishing Off

That just leaves the shotgun kills in a free roam event to finish up for the day. Wait for an invite to a PvP focussed event and make sure you have your shotgun equipped. That will do it for today.
