Starting in New Austin today folks..

Blackcurrants, Fort Mercer and Western Ravens can all be found in New Austin for today’s Daily Challenges. Then it’s a trip to see Hamish before completing the PvP challenges. Let’s get into it…

Visit Fort Mercer and Blackcurrants

Fort Mercer is in RIo Bravo, New Austin. Armadillo is the nearest fast travel post if you aren’t already in New Austin. Take a ride up to the fort and that will complete the challenge.

Ride West from the fort and take the main path down towards Benedict Pass. ON the left of the path there are several, maybe six or seven, blackcurrant plants. That should be plenty enough to pick what you need to complete the challenge.

Western Ravens and Feathers Sold

Whilst riding down, keep an eye out for Western Ravens. Shoot and pluck three of them and that will give you more than five feathers to sell. Ride to the butcher or Gus and sell the feathers.

Hamish Sinclaire Missions

Hamish is one of the strangers and can be found at either O’Creagh’s Run or Cotorra Springs. Open your map and check where he is. Next, Ride to the Tumbleweed Fast Travel post and travel to either Emerald Ranch or Wapiti, depending on where Hamish is.

Speak with him and finish the mission he gives you to complete the challenge.

Finishing Off

Now all that’s left to do is clean your weapons, equip your shotgun and jump into a showdown. Either Takeover or Shootout should register this one but I find the Shootout series more reliable. Remember, you most likely will need to be in the pre-match lobby before the match starts for the kills to count.

5 BLACKCURRANTS PICKED – Blackcurrants can be picked from tall thin bushes in the deserts between Tumbleweed and Benedict Point. If you’re struggling then try just to the east of the ‘E’ in ‘New Austin’ on the map

FEATHERS SOLD – Sell Feathers at the butchers. Look for any birds, kill em, pluck em and head to the butchers for that Easy Gold!

1 HAMISH SINCLAIR MISSIONS COMPLETED – This stranger mission can be triggered by visiting Hamish Sinclair. Try the shack next to O’creaghs’ Run or the camp at Cotorra Springs. Completing the mission completes the challenge.

3 PLAYER KILLS WITH A SHOTGUN IN SHOWDOWN – Equip your shotgun then join a Showdown. Weapon of choice is good if you don’t own a shotgun yet. Takeover or Shootout series are most reliable for registering kills. You will need to be in the lobby beforehand for the kills to count‬

1 VISIT FORT MERCER – Fort Mercer is in Rio Bravo, NA. It’s a short ride from Armadillo. Simply visit the location to complete the challenge.

3 WEAPONS CLEANED WITH GUN OIL – Gun oil can be purchased in shops or looted from various places and NPCs. Highlight a dirty weapon in the weapon wheel and click the right thumbstick in. Select clean weapon.

3 WESTERN RAVENS PLUCKED – Ravens are literally everywhere. Shoot 3, pluck them and you have your gold.
