Starting in New Hanover today folks..

There is a lot of PvP today, so it’s a bad day for those of you who hate it. The free roam challenges are easy enough though. A visit to Cumberland Forest, then Cumberland Falls, then down to Bard’s Crossing.

Rams Head and Fishing

The best place for Ram’s Heads is Cumberland Forest. Head up to the Forest from Valentine and take a left at the fork in the road. There are two patches on the left, between the road and the cliff edge. It’s the area underneath the ‘C’ of Cumberland Forest on the map. You should get all five plants from here but if you don’t for some reason, then there is another patch in the middle of the ‘M’ on the map.

From here head down to the Dakota River for some fishing. Salmon will give you succulent fish meat when broken down so if you don’t have any, go fishing for some. The Dakota river is packed with them. A good spot to try is the pool below Cumberland Falls. Catch three of them and break them down for the meat. Head back to the campfire opposite the butcher in Valentine to season and cook the meat.

Seagulls Plucked

Head down to Bard’s Crossing. The mouth of the river under the railway bridge is a great place to find seagulls. If they are in the deep water then shoot the water near them so they fly off and pick them off as they go over land. Pluck two of them to complete the challenge. .

Hunt the Leader and PvP

Hunt the Leader is a Posse Vs mode and you will need to join a posse and have the leader trigger it to start. Complete that then join a Showdown and try to get Melee kills. Then it’s a case of waiting for PvP focussed Free Roam Events to try and get the kills for the last two challenges. It seems a little rough to me having so many PvP focussed daily challenges, especially with the state of the PvP lobbies on PC but it is what it is.

2 AMERICAN MUSKRATS SKINNED – Muskrats can be found along the shores of lakes and rivers in New Austin, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Hanover

5 ENGLISH MACE PICKED – English Mace grows near the banks of the San Luis River. You can pick it up from Thieves Landing down through New Austin. Above ‘Plainview’ on the map is a good spot.

1 HORSE TACK UPDATED – Head over to the stables and change an item of Horse Tack. If you have already upgraded your Tack, just switch it out and back again. Easy Gold!

20 NON-PLAYER ENEMIES LOOTED – Kill non-player enemies and loot them. Story mission enemies & resupply mission enemies are a good one for this. If in free roam, head to Thieves Landing and have fun

PARASOL MUSHROOM PICKED – Parasol Mushrooms can be found all over. My go to spot is between Valentine and Caliban’s seat. New Austin is a good state for them too if you’re down that way, just keep an eye out. The pig pen at Flatneck Station also has them.

5 PERCH CAUGHT – Perch can be caught in most Northern lakes and rivers. Bread is the best bait and sunny weather. The Dakota River near Cumberland Forest is a good stretch. So is Roanoke Valley.
