Starting in Blackwater or Saint Denis today folks..
First off, Happy New Year! I’d like to just thank everyone who reads these posts for their support and kind messages over the last year. Having this to do every day has helped me cope with the madness that was 2020. Hearing your feedback on Reddit and Twitter, and especially how much these posts help new players really means a lot. All the best for 2021!
We are in either Blackwater or Saint Denis today as both of these towns have a barber, tailors and stables. We will need them for today’s challenges. We can complete most of the challenges today without leaving town, so this will be a quick one, which is good for my NYE hangover. Let’s get into it…
Photos and Clothing
Start off in either town and visit the tailor to swap clothes. Then take a selfie with your new threads on before snapping a nice picture of your horse.
Horse appearance updated and Hairstyle
Head over to the stables and change the appearance of your horse. I had a few free options such as Wild tail or Frayed main so use those if you can. If not, changing the tail length is one of the cheapest options at $7.50. Changing Hairstyle is only recommended if you have not spent gold on your hairstyle. I usually just change the shade of my style then swap it back.
Finishing Off
All that’s left to do now is escape the law and spend the rest of the game day behaving as to not reach High Hostility. So rope a lawman or cause some mischief before high tailing it outta town to lay low.

CLOTHING STYLE UPDATED – Head to a wardrobe and change your clothes wardrobes can be found in Tailors and the back of general stores. If you have an outfit stored on your horse, then just swapping outfits is the easiest way to get this one.
DON’T REACH HIGH HOSTILITY WITHIN ONE GAME DAY – Simply play nice! Don’t be a Micha for one entire game day. Bit of a time gate on this one but it is simple, easy gold.
ESCAPE THE LAW – Get a wanted level and escape the law. Towns are the easiest place to do this. Just get the wanted level then high tail it outta town to lose them.
1 HAIRSTYLE UPDATED – Visit a barbers and update your hairstyle. if you like your current style, make sure you remember the name of it and switch back!
1 HORSE APPEARANCE UPDATED – Head to a stables and change the appearance of your horse by changing the tail or main for example
1 PHOTOGRAPH YOUR HORSE – Get your camera (the original works fine) out and take a snap of your equine companion. You may have to be a few steps back and have the horse centre frame to get it to register.
1 SELF PORTRAIT TAKEN – Get one of your cameras out and press the Self Portrait button. Take the picture. Easy Gold! You can use the standard camera.
