Starting at camp today folks..

We need to go to our camps, Cumberland Forest and Rhodes. That does mean there is a fair bit of fast traveling but we can recoup some of the costs from the challenges if you are low on $RDO.

Camp Theme Updated

Start at your camp to update the theme. You can do this by talking to Cripps at the Wilderness Outfitters. This is the front end of the main wagon at camp where Cripps sits to play his harmonica. If you have already purchased another camp theme, then switching between them is free and will complete the challenge. If you are still new and haven’t purchased a new camp theme then you will have to buy one to complete this challenge.

Violet Snowdrops Picked

Next we need to fast travel to Valentine and ride up to Cumberland Forest. Violet snowdrops are bright blue flowers and can be found at a few spots in the forest. As you ride up to the forest from Valentine, turn left at the fork in the road. A little further along on your left there will be a patch of Violet Snowdrops.

There is another patch just under the ‘C’ on the map. The violet snowdrops are often mixed in with wintergreen berries and rams head so just keep searching for them. They can be a bit difficult to find in the snow, especially if you’re caught in a flurry like I was.

If you don’t manage to get all five plants from those two spots then there are another two spots in the forest. One is a little below the ‘B’ on the map and another is north of the ‘M’ on the other side of the path.

Deer Skinned

Cumberland Forest is also a fantastic place to hunt for deer. You will see herds of them if you are lucky. Take your time to stalk them and use some fast shooting and you should be able to bag all four from one group. Don’t worry about getting clean kills if you are just trying to farm gold. Skin all four of them then head back into Valentine. If you are low on funds, you can sell the herbs at the doctor and the pelts and meat at the butcher to recoup some of the fast travel costs.

Anthony Foreman Missions Completed

Fast travel to Rhodes and then ride East out of town to speak with Anthony Forman. He will offer you a low honour mission such as a coach hold up or assasinations. Complete whichever mission he gives you. If he doesn’t have any work for you, switch sessions and try again. With it being a daily challenge today other players in the lobby will be getting work from him and stranger missions have a cooldown timer. Just switch sessions until he has a mission for you.

5 Types of Fish Caught

After a bit of robbing and murdering there is nothing like a spot of fishing to calm the nerves. The bay on Flat Iron Lake is a good spot to fish. Switch between baits and lures and use dead eye to target different types of fish. If you are persistent, and a little lucky you should be able to get five different types of fish from this one location.

Free Roam Events

All that’s left to do then is join a PvP based free roam event. You can check the schedule here and pick out a PvP based one. Make sure you have your rifle equipped and try and resist the urge to aim down the sights until you get that kill from the hip. Paint it Black helps with this if you have unlocked it. If you’re really struggling, then a shotgun is always a good strategy, then you can get the rifle kills in the regular fashion. Getting those kills will complete all the challenges for the day.
