Starting in New Hanover today folks..
Start in Valentine if you are looking for a Fast Travel spot but we are actually here for Pheasants. They can be found under the word ‘Valentine’ on the map or to the north and north east of the oil fields. You’re best going towards the Oil Fields because next it’s a trip to Emerald Ranch to butcher some sheep to get mutton. On your travels make sure to jump to a wagon from your horse if you see one. Travel to Gus up by Elysian Pool and sell him the Pheasant feathers or sheep skins that you just collected and then continue down to Van Horn. There is a campfire behind the saloon you can use to cook the mutton and craft tonics should you need to. Drink the tonics during the PvP challenges and that’s us done for the day. 3 COOKED SEASONED MUTTON – You get mutton from sheep and rams. White hat you can hunt for Desert Rams in NA or there are Rams on the mountain slopes of Ambarino. Or black hat and go to Emerald Ranch at night. Head to a fire and season up that mutton and cook it.
FINISH SHOWDOWN IN SHOOTOUT SERIES – Load into a Shootout series PvP match*from either the main or quick join menu. You’ll probably have to go lobby to lobby on this to get it to register.
5 ITEMS SOLD TO GUS – Go to Gus at one of his camps across the map and sell him any items. Pelts, feathers and other animal parts all count towards this. Harriet is gonna be mad at you!
JUMPED FROM A HORSE TO A MOVING WAGON – RIde alongside an NPC’s wagon and jump from your horse to the wagon. Easy Gold!
2 PHEASANTS SKINNED – Pheasants can be found in the Great Planes, The Heartlands and Gaptooth Ridge as well as other places. They are a ground bird that can be hard to spot unless you stumble on them and spook them. Under the ‘W’ in Blackwater is a good spot to check
3 PLAYER HEADSHOT KILLS IN FREE ROAM EVENTS – Free Roam Events occur every 45mins. Make sure you are in a free roam lobby when one is due to start to be invited. Join an event and kill other players with headshots.
2 PLAYER STATS BOOSTED BY TONICS – Tonics can be taken to boost Health, Stamina and Dead Eye. Loot or craft them then tab right on the weapon wheel to select them. Snake oil, Cocaine gum and health tonics are fairly common
