Quick Guide
Starting in New Austin today folks..
Load into New Austin and take a photograph of your horse. Ride to Fort Mercer keeping an eye out for Pronghorns on the way. Shoot and skin five of them as you see them. Get the visit done then head to The Fast Travel Post in Armadillo to Fast Travel to camp, unless of course you’re camped in New Austin then you can probably just ride there. Talk to Cripps at the Wilderness Outfitters (at the wagon where he sits and plays his harmonica) and update your camp theme. You can just switch between ones you have already purchased. That’s it for the free roam events today so it’s time to equip your bow and jump into a Showdown. Good Luck out there!
1 CAMP THEMES UPDATED – Head to camp and talk to Cripps at the Wilderness Outfitters. Change your camp theme. If you have already updated it, you can switch between purchased themes and it will count.
FINISH SHOWDOWN IN ELIMINATION SERIES – Enter an Elimination match from the start or quick join menus. You will have to be in the lobby before the match starts and play all the way through for this one to count.
1 PHOTOGRAPH YOUR HORSE – Get your camera (the original works fine) out and take a snap of your equine companion. You may have to be a few steps back and have the horse centre frame to get it to register.
PLACE TOP 3 IN A SHOOTOUT SHOWDOWN – Shootouts are a group of PvP game modes and can be accessed through the main or quick join menus. Load into the series and try and place in the top 3
PLAYER HEADSHOT WITH A BOW IN SHOWDOWN – Equip your Bow and join a Showdown series. Shootouts or Takeovers seem to work best. Make sure your in the lobby before the game starts for the challenge to register. It may take a few tries to get this one to work.
5 PRONGHORNS SKINNED – Pronghorn deer can be found across the west of the map from New Ausin up through West Elizabeth and in western New Hanover. My go to spot is the desert south of Tumbleweed. Find em, shoot em and skin em
1 VISIT FORT MERCER – Fort Mercer is in Rio Bravo, NA. It’s a short ride from Armadillo. Simply visit the location to complete the challenge.
